Pamukoğlu expressed his support for Özdil in a post on his social media account. Following the dismissal of 14 employees from Sözcü TV without justification, a comprehensive change in management was implemented at the channel.

Yılmaz Özdil has been appointed as the President of the Sözcü Media Group, which includes Sözcü and Korkusuz newspapers as well as Sözcü TV.
