Inflation was 0.87% in November, while it decreased to 31.07% on an annual basis. Evaluating the latest data, President Erdoğan stated, "We are faced with a picture that increases our hopes. Together with our earthquake housing and social housing projects, we expect a rapid decline in rental inflation."
President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is making statements regarding the agenda at his party's parliamentary group meeting.
Regarding the latest inflation data, Erdoğan stated, "We encountered a table that increases our hopes." He said, "This morning, the inflation figures for November were announced. Accordingly, our inflation for November came in at 0.87. The core goods inflation has dropped to around 18%. We expect a rapid decline in rental inflation with our earthquake housing and social housing projects."
Highlights from President Erdoğan's speech are as follows:
"The third quarter data for the economy has started to be announced. Tourism data for the first 9 months of the year had been shared. Accordingly, the number of people visiting our country in the first 9 months of 2025 increased by 1.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 49 million 993 thousand. We had reached 50 billion dollars in tourism revenues in the first three quarters. Thus, we broke the record for the highest tourism revenues in three quarters of all time. Our economy has continued its uninterrupted growth for 21 quarters, and it has maintained this growth rate in the third quarter of 2025. With this rate, we ranked 4th among OECD countries and 5th among G20 countries.
Despite the various games played by malicious and nefarious forces to hinder Turkey in the face of hot conflicts in our region, uncertainties in the global economy, and trade wars, we thank God that we have not deviated from our goals.
"WE WILL NOT ALLOW THOSE WHO WANT TO IMPOSE NEW COSTS ON THE COUNTRY"
We will achieve a brighter Turkey, especially in the economy. We will not allow those who want to impose new costs on this country. We will not fall for the games of brokers who first try to muddy the waters and then go fishing for easy catches.
Turkey's goal is clear. This goal is to permanently increase the welfare of all 86 million people. This goal is to reach an economic size of 1.9 trillion dollars by the year 2028.
We have seen that the messages we conveyed at the G20 were welcomed, especially by our African brothers.
"WE WILL HOLD THE NATO SUMMIT IN ANKARA IN JULY"
The year 2026 will be a year of international summits for Turkey. We will host nearly 200 countries in our Antalya. We will hold the NATO Summit in Ankara in July.
Let us leave behind works that will be remembered with good words, not tomorrow or the day after, but even a century later. We want to leave a prosperous country to our children in every field."
