In Uşak, as a result of meticulous investigations conducted in line with the statement of N.K., who was with him on the day of the incident, regarding the murder of 63-year-old Gürsel Arı, who was found dead in an agricultural area, the 20-year-old suspect R.K. was apprehended and taken into custody.
The 63-year-old Gürsel Arı, found dead in an agricultural area in Uşak, was the subject of a murder investigation. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody as a result of a meticulous operation conducted by the Uşak Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate.
FOUND WITH HIS THROAT CUT
The incident occurred on May 11 in an agricultural area near Kemalöz Neighborhood in the central district of Uşak. According to the information obtained, upon noticing a motionless person lying in the area, citizens reported the situation, and 112 Health, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that the individual, who had a knife wound on his neck, had lost his life. The identity of the deceased was identified as Gürsel Arı (63). Following the on-site investigations, Arı's body was taken to the Uşak Training and Research Hospital morgue.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Uşak Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate, it was determined that the person who was with Gürsel Arı in the area on the day of the incident was a woman named N.K. (42). It was learned that after the incident, N.K. went to a private hospital in the city center, was then referred to the Uşak Training and Research Hospital, and her treatment continued.
"TOOK TO A WOODED AREA AND STABBED"
In her testimony taken as part of the investigation, N.K. stated that she and Gürsel Arı were friends and went to the agricultural area together on the day of the incident. N.K. claimed that after a while, a person they did not know approached them, stabbed Gürsel Arı, then took her to a wooded area, stabbed her, and subsequently fled.
N.K. expressed that after the incident, she went to the city center by bus, where citizens and the driver suspected her condition and wanted to help, but she did not accept the offer; later, she explained the situation to a friend, and they went to the hospital together.
300 HOURS OF CAMERA FOOTAGE REVIEWED
In the investigations initiated by the Uşak Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate, approximately 300 hours of footage from about 60 security cameras in the vicinity were meticulously examined. The reviews identified a person exhibiting suspicious behavior near the crime scene, believed to have fled running from the forested area. As a result of the studies, the suspect was identified as R.K. (20). The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody in an operation at his address in the Aybey Neighborhood.
It was also learned that the suspect's procedures at the police station are ongoing.
