An eighth-grade student of foreign nationality, I.S., studying at a middle school in the Karasu district of Sakarya, stated that he needed to use the restroom during class and left the classroom.

DIED AFTER FALLING FROM THE WINDOW

The student, who was reported to have sat on the window located in the first-floor corridor, fell from the window for an unknown reason and was seriously injured. Upon notification of the situation, health teams were dispatched to the area. After the initial intervention at the scene, the student passed away at the hospital to which he was transferred. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.

In a statement made by the Sakarya Governorate regarding the matter, the following was stated: "An eighth-grade student of foreign nationality, I.S., studying at a middle school in our Karasu district, requested permission from his teacher to use the restroom at around 10:30 on January 8, 2025, during class, and it has been understood that he sat on the window located in the first-floor corridor of the school and fell from the window for an unknown reason, resulting in serious injuries.

Immediately after the incident, health teams were notified, and despite all interventions, our student could not be saved and passed away. An urgent judicial and administrative investigation has been initiated regarding this tragic incident."
