Saime Kayaaslan was arrested in connection with the death of İbrahim Kayaaslan, whose body was found in a pond in the Buldan district of Denizli. According to allegations, Kayaaslan drugged her husband's drink to incapacitate him and then dragged him to the pond, causing him to drown.
İbrahim Kayaaslan (39), whose body was found in a pond in Buldan district of Denizli, was arrested along with his wife Saime Kayaaslan (38) as part of the investigation into his death. It was stated that Kayaaslan's wife added drugs to his drink, and after he became unconscious, she dragged him into the pond, causing him to drown.
The incident occurred on August 2, 2025, at Dımbazlar Pond in Buldan district. Saime and İbrahim Kayaaslan, who live in Dindarlı neighborhood of Sarıgöl district in Manisa, went to Dımbazlar Pond in Buldan district of Denizli for a picnic.
BODY FOUND IN THE POND
After a while, nearby fishermen noticed a woman struggling in the pond. Saime Kayaaslan, who was pulled out of the water by the fishermen, was taken to Buldan State Hospital by the ambulance that was called. Saime Kayaaslan stated that she and her husband İbrahim Kayaaslan entered the water to cool off, and when she realized her husband had not come out for a long time, she jumped into the pond as well.
Following this, gendarmerie and diving teams were dispatched to the scene. In the search conducted in the pond, İbrahim Kayaaslan's lifeless body was found 4 hours later. Kayaaslan's body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution Denizli Regional Directorate for autopsy.
3 OTHER SUSPECTS ARRESTED WITH HER HUSBAND
The autopsy revealed that İbrahim Kayaaslan had paracetamol in his stomach along with alcohol. Additionally, signs were found indicating that İbrahim Kayaaslan had been struck with a hard object on his back. After the autopsy results, Saime Kayaaslan, her father Mehmet Y., her mother Münire Y., and İzzet S. were arrested by gendarmerie teams in Sarıgöl district on January 13 and brought to Buldan district.
WIFE ARRESTED
After their procedures at the gendarmerie, the suspects were brought to court on January 16, where Saime Kayaaslan was arrested while the others were released to be tried without detention.

As part of the investigation, it was stated that Saime Kayaaslan threw a high dose of drugs into her husband's drink, and after İbrahim Kayaaslan, who took the drug along with alcohol, became unconscious, he was dragged into the pond and drowned.
