One of the names for whom an arrest warrant was issued in the drug operation targeting celebrities was singer Tan Taşçı. Breaking his silence, Taşçı said he learned his name was mentioned in the investigation from the media and that he would be moving from Bodrum to İzmir for a concert. The famous singer also stated that there were no cancellations for his planned concerts.

The drug operation targeting famous names in Istanbul made a splash on the entertainment agenda. Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention and arrest warrants were issued for many famous individuals.

In the operation carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command, simultaneous raids were conducted on 25 suspects. During the operation, 14 people were detained, while arrest warrants were issued for 11 people who could not be found at their addresses and were learned to be abroad. It was notable that singer Tan Taşçı was among these names.

Following the developments regarding him, Tan Taşçı made a statement on his social media account. The singer stated that he learned his name was mentioned in the investigation through the press, using the following expressions:

I am currently at my home in Bodrum and I am about to head to Izmir for our planned concerts. I am following the official process regarding the issue through my lawyer and waiting for detailed information from him.”

In the continuation of his statement, Tan Taşçı also provided information about his concert schedule. The famous singer stated that there is currently no disruption in the planned events.

Taşçı said, “There is currently no disruption or cancellation regarding our planned concerts. As developments become clear, I will share them with you directly.”

WHO IS TAN TAŞÇI?

Born in Germany as the younger son of Selma and Yusuf Taşçı, Tan started primary school at Arı College in Ankara. After completing his high school education at Rauf Denktaş High School, he sang in polyphonic choirs for a long time. He joined the Part-Time Choir of Hacettepe University State Conservatory. Additionally, he took voice lessons.

Later, he entered the Opera and Voice department of Ankara University State Conservatory. At the same time, he served in various choirs such as folk music and art music, as well as the state opera.
