While driving in Karaman, fuel tanker driver Nazım Akkaya fell ill, stopped his vehicle, and died at the wheel. A heart attack is suspected.

A fuel tanker driver who suffered a heart attack behind the wheel in Karaman lost his life. The incident occurred around 22:00 at night on the road to Ağılönü village, connected to the city center. According to obtained information, Nazım Akkaya (55), who was driving the fuel tanker with license plate 70 FA 065, suddenly fell ill and stopped the vehicle. Other drivers, who saw the tanker stopped in the middle of the road and the driver motionless behind the wheel, immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT

During the health team's examination, it was determined that driver Nazım Akkaya had lost his life. After the public prosecutor's inspection at the scene, Akkaya's lifeless body was taken by a hearse to the morgue of Karaman Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy. It is being considered that the driver may have died as a result of a heart attack.
