Tea and coffee prices increased by 30 percent in Bursa

The Bursa Chamber of Coffee Shops and Similar Businesses has announced the new maximum price tariff for the 2026-2027 period. With an approximately 30 percent increase, the price of tea varies between 22.50 TL and 52.50 TL depending on the type of establishment, while the maximum price of Turkish coffee has risen to 200 TL. In the new tariff, prices for toast, gözleme, and other beverages have also been updated.

The Bursa Chamber of Coffeehouse Operators and Similar Establishments has announced the maximum price tariff to be applied in coffeehouses, tea houses, tea gardens, and cafeterias for 2026-2027.

With the new tariff adopted on May 15, 2026, an approximately 30 percent increase was made compared to the price list applied last year. Under the tariff, the maximum sales prices for many products have been re-determined.

NEW PRICES FOR TEA AND TURKISH COFFEE

According to the new tariff, the maximum price for a glass of tea is set at 22.50 TL in tea houses, 26 TL in 3rd-class coffeehouses, 32.50 TL in 2nd-class coffeehouses, 37.50 TL in 1st-class coffeehouses, 40 TL in tea gardens, and 52.50 TL in cafeterias.

The maximum price for Turkish coffee is set at 60 TL in tea houses, 75 TL in 2nd- and 3rd-class coffeehouses, 100 TL in 1st-class coffeehouses, 150 TL in tea gardens, and 200 TL in cafeterias.

TOAST AND GÖZLEME PRICES ALSO UPDATED

The new tariff also includes the maximum prices for toast, gözleme, filter coffee, hot chocolate, cold coffee, and various beverages.

Accordingly, the maximum price for toast is set at 155 TL in coffeehouses, 200 TL in tea gardens, and 260 TL in cafeterias. The maximum sales price for mixed gözleme in cafeterias has risen to 340 TL.

30 PERCENT INCREASE STANDS OUT

Compared to the tariff applied in the 2025-2026 period, an approximately 30 percent increase has been made in the new price list.

It was emphasized that the figures in the tariff published by the Bursa Chamber of Coffeehouse Operators and Similar Establishments are maximum prices. Accordingly, businesses cannot sell above the determined prices, but they can make sales below these prices if they wish.
