The funeral prayer was held in the capital Tehran for Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Huseyin Emir Abdullahiyan, and other officials. The funeral prayer for Raisi and the members of his delegation who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan was led by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at the Tehran University campus. Thousands of people who wanted to enter the prayer area waited at the university gate. Due to the increasing crowd and difficulties in walking, officials directed the people to Azadi Square from Azadi Avenue. The people started walking towards the square. TO BE BURIED IN MASHHAD TOMORROWAfter the ceremony, President Raisi's body will be sent to the city of Mashhad, while the body of Foreign Minister Abdullahiyan will remain in Tehran, where he will be buried.
