OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF ENERGY
The Iranian Ministry of Energy shared the extent of the damage in a statement made after the attacks. Ministry officials confirmed that the electrical facilities in Tehran and critical energy infrastructure were directly targeted. The statement included the following details:
"As a result of the despicable attacks by the U.S. and Israel, the transmission towers located in the city of Karaj, northwest of Tehran, have been damaged by shrapnel. This has led to a complete shutdown of an electrical station and the cutting off of energy to 5-6 different main transformer centers in the city."
