The aviation, space, and technology festival TEKNOFEST, held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, welcomed 62,000 visitors on its first day.
The world's largest aviation, space, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, is welcoming its visitors in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The festival is organized under the auspices of the Presidency of the TRNC, in collaboration with the Turkey Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, along with 132 stakeholder institutions at the former Ercan Airport.
62 THOUSAND PEOPLE VISITED
On its first day, the festival was visited by 62 thousand people. The festival, which started yesterday and will host visitors until May 4, features technology-themed events at 116 booths, bringing students and youth together. Flight demonstrations with domestic and national aircraft are also being held as part of the festival.
A WIDE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES ARE OFFERED TO VISITORS
The organization offers technology competitions, exhibition event areas, as well as workshops for the 6-14 age group in the Science Street, an aircraft exhibition, planetarium film screenings, the Cyprus Peace Operation Experience Area, the Turkish Resistance Organization National Struggle Exhibition Area, a space exhibition, XR experience area, simulation experience areas, first flight and pedal flight activities with students, science shows, the Stage is Yours event, interviews, main stage performances, and many more activities are presented to visitors.
Participation in TEKNOFEST TRNC is completely free, but visitors must register through the TEKNOFEST website to enter. A separate ticket must be created for each participant, while there is no registration requirement for children under 7 years old. Visitor entry and exit to the festival area can be made between 09:00 and 19:00.
