Due to two separate traffic accidents that occurred back-to-back this morning on the Aydın-Muğla highway, the road turned into a scene of chaos. An automobile driver and his daughter, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were seriously injured when their car went under a truck that had stopped due to the congestion caused by an accident near the rural Savrandere neighborhood earlier this morning.
On the Muğla-Aydın highway, a father and his daughter were seriously injured when their car rear-ended a truck that had stopped due to an accident ahead. After being extracted from the vehicle in which they were trapped, the father and daughter, whose conditions were critical, asked about each other first as they were being taken to the hospital, which deeply moved those present.
REAR-ENDED THE TRUCK
The accident occurred in the morning hours on the Muğla-Aydın highway between Hallaçlar village and Savrandere village. According to information obtained, the truck with license plate 09 C 0670 (trailer plate 09 C 3896), driven by Ahmet T. and traveling from the Çine direction towards Aydın, stopped due to the road being blocked by another accident approximately 3-4 kilometers ahead. At that moment, the car with license plate 09 ASF 378, driven by Yüksel Can and traveling in the same direction, could not stop and violently rear-ended the truck in front of it.
TEAMS INTERVENED WITH THE DAUGHTER
Due to the impact of the collision, the car driver Yüksel Can and his daughter Tuğçe Can, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were trapped in the cabin. Upon notification, fire brigade teams, who were on duty at the other accident a few kilometers ahead, were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Meanwhile, health workers who had just finished their shifts at Çine 112 Emergency Service and were returning to Aydın saw the accident and immediately stopped. The teams racing against time and the compassionate health personnel extracted the father and daughter from where they were trapped and performed initial intervention at the scene.
FORGETTING THEIR PAIN, THEY ASKED ABOUT EACH OTHER
Tuğçe Can, extracted from the car that had been reduced to scrap, ignored her own serious injuries and tearfully asked those around her about her father's health condition. Her father Yüksel Can, who was seriously injured in the head, forgot his own pain and tried to find out if his daughter was alive. The bond between the father and daughter gave those at the scene emotional moments.
TRAFFIC WAS REOPENED
It was learned that the father and daughter, who were taken by ambulance to Adnan Menderes University Research and Application Hospital, continued to have life-threatening conditions. After the teams completed their work at the accident scenes, disrupted transportation returned to normal, and a comprehensive investigation into the incident was initiated.
