In the Hurma neighborhood of Antalya's Konyaaltı district, Savaş Temirhanoğulları (48), the estranged husband of Fadim Temirhanoğulları (52), who had obtained a 3-month restraining order against him, returned home around 05:00 on September 12, 2024. Savaş Temirhanoğulları shot at his wife with a gun and fled. At that moment, their daughter I.T. (15), who was sleeping in her room, woke up to the sound of gunfire, thought she was having a nightmare, and went back to sleep. The high school student I.T. woke up around 08:30 to a phone call from a school friend.
MORNING: FOUND HER MOTHER IN A POOL OF BLOOD
When I.T. came out of her room and saw her mother covered in blood, she ran out of the house and knocked on the door of the neighbor across the street. With the neighbors who came to the house, I.T. reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. The medical personnel dispatched to the address determined that Fadim Temirhanoğulları had lost her life. The police launched an operation to capture Savaş Temirhanoğulları, who was identified as working as a security guard at an entertainment center in Kemer district.
THE BRUTAL HUSBAND ARRESTED
Investigating security camera footage, the Homicide Bureau teams determined that Savaş Temirhanoğulları had gone to Korkuteli district in his friend Fikret İ.'s vehicle. The teams captured Temirhanoğulları and Fikret İ. at the location where they were hiding, along with the weapon used in the crime. Savaş Temirhanoğulları was arrested, while his friend Fikret İ., who was alleged to have assisted in his escape, was released.
