AMENDMENTS TO THE BYLAWS WERE ACCEPTEDAt the end of the congress, amendments to the bylaws were accepted. Changes were made in 28 articles of the party's bylaws. KILIÇDAROĞLU DID NOT ATTENDIn the congress hall, video clips prepared on digital panels with the slogan "Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (CHP) has a solution for every problem" were displayed, and the seats of the participants were reserved with their names. It was observed that former CHP leaders Altan Öymen, Hikmet Çetin, Murat Karayalçın, and Özden Tokerve, the daughter of İsmet İnönü, the Second President of the Republic of Turkey, as well as Sevinç İnönü, the wife of former Deputy Prime Minister Erdal İnönü, were given reserved seats in the protocol. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the previous CHP Chairman, who was invited to the congress, did not attend. "WE WON BY LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF THE STREET"In his opening speech at the congress, Özel delivered the message "We won the local elections by listening to the voice of the street." The CHP leader announced that everyone, including the party chairman, will participate in the primary elections. Özel said the following: "After 47 years, for the first time, we say hello to millions of people watching the congress of the country's leading party on screens. We are not few anymore, we are now more. It was exactly a year ago; unfortunately, we lost an election that we wanted, worked hard for, and deserved in the elections we entered as a political alliance. After the elections on May 14th and 28th, there was a mood of detachment from politics and a wave of despair in society. The light in the eyes of the young people had gone out. The shoulders of our elders had slumped. While our elderly were asking, 'Won't we see power in Turkey anymore?', the young people were asking us, 'Won't we be able to dream in this country anymore? Won't we be able to live in this country anymore?' We sat down, talked, and debated. We set out together to open a path, to take a new path. We could not and did not act as if nothing had happened. And we said this; CHP will change, Turkey will change. When all the democrats of Turkey embraced the party in its hundredth year, when we were going towards this great victory hand in hand with conservatives, Kurds, nationalists, and social democrats, those who stood against this party due to personal ambitions should stay where they stood. These mistakes will not be made in this period, and they will not hold any positions in this party again, I state this clearly. In addition, in this great success, İmamoğlu, Yavaş, our mayors... The bylaws belong to our organization, not individuals. Kılıçdaroğlu's commitments have been included in the bylaws. This bylaw is not a vote of confidence for me, its passage does not strengthen me, and its failure does not weaken me. I entrust the quotas for women and youth to you."
