"WE WERE HAPPY WHEN WE HEARD THE NEWS"

The imam of Aylı village, Tekin Çetinkaya (54), said, "I wish our Minister all the best. We have known him since childhood. Although they stayed in İzmir, he would come and go to the village from time to time, and he always had contact. He was someone who had connections with the village, whether it was his uncles or his maternal uncle. We congratulate him again. We wish him continued success. We were happy when we heard the news. We said, 'Let the extended arm be from us.' He is one of our villagers. That’s why we were happy. May his successes be everlasting. He was a quiet, calm, and quite humble person. That’s how I remember him. That’s how I got to know him. I still believe he is like that. I observed that he was in the same situation when we met at weddings and funerals. They moved to İzmir when he was about 12 years old. They would come and go," he stated.
