In footage circulated from the region, soldiers can be seen showing their identities as they enter, and after completing registration procedures at a desk, they are seen entering the building while stepping on a portrait of Assad.
After the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria, the newly established government made a significant military move. While amnesty was granted to the soldiers of Assad who fled the country, everyone was asked to surrender their weapons, take off their uniforms, and submit their identities to HTS.
