Teams were mobilized following a report of crying sounds coming from a house in the Palandöken district of Erzurum. The teams that entered through the window rescued a 1.5-year-old baby named Gökçe, who had been left alone in the house. The baby was taken to the hospital for a health check, but the mother could not be reached. The father was called to the police station for questioning.
Citizens who heard a baby crying from the apartment located on 98th Street in the Hüseyin Avni Ulaş neighborhood of the Palandöken district of Erzurum called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report after they could not reach the mother.
TEAMS ENTERED THROUGH THE WINDOW
Upon the report, health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. After obtaining permission from the on-duty prosecutor, the fire department and police entered by prying open the window they climbed through.
THE BABY LEFT ALONE AT HOME WAS RESCUED
The baby, who was found to have been left alone at home and was learned to be 1.5 years old, was handed over to the health teams. The baby, whose name was learned to be Gökçe, was given milk and chocolate by the health teams and was taken to the hospital for a health check.
MOTHER IS MISSING
The mother, who was reported to be in the process of divorce and had recently moved into the apartment, could not be reached despite all efforts. While the police continued their investigation to find the mother, the father, who said he came from Oltu to Erzurum, was called to the Yenişehir Police Station for questioning.
