The accident occurred around 05:30 on the Kartal D-100 Highway towards Ankara. The taxi got stuck in the barrier like an arrow as a result of the driver losing control of the steering wheel. "A SOUND LIKE A BOMB"

Ayten Aydın, who witnessed the accident, said, "I was waiting for the bus at the stop. I heard a sound like a bomb. I thought they had planted a bomb and it exploded. Then I saw the taxi. Thank God the man came out unharmed. He only had a scratch on his eyebrow. He hit the barrier. The barrier entered the car and came out the other side. My God protected me. He was alone, no one was with him. Nothing happened to the driver. An ambulance came and took him away," she said.
