A taxi in Istanbul lost control of the steering wheel on the D-100 Highway and got stuck in a barrier. The barrier, which entered through the front windshield and exited through the rear windshield, was enough to demonstrate the severity of the incident. In the horrific accident, the driver only suffered a minor injury to their eyebrow.
The taxi, whose driver lost control of the steering wheel, was stuck in the barrier like an arrow. The taxi driver survived the accident with just a scratch on his eyebrow.
TAXI STUCK IN THE BARRIER
The accident occurred around 05:30 on the Kartal D-100 Highway towards Ankara. The taxi got stuck in the barrier like an arrow as a result of the driver losing control of the steering wheel. In the accident, the barrier entered through the front windshield of the vehicle and exited through the rear windshield.
TAXI DRIVER ESCAPED DEATH
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The taxi driver was slightly injured in the accident by chance. The injured person was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
"A SOUND LIKE A BOMB"
Ayten Aydın, who witnessed the accident, said, "I was waiting for the bus at the stop. I heard a sound like a bomb. I thought they had planted a bomb and it exploded. Then I saw the taxi. Thank God the man came out unharmed. He only had a scratch on his eyebrow. He hit the barrier. The barrier entered the car and came out the other side. My God protected me. He was alone, no one was with him. Nothing happened to the driver. An ambulance came and took him away," she said.
