EXPLOSION OCCURRED DURING REPAIR
The incident took place at a cell phone repair shop in the İmamoğlu district of Adana. Smoke suddenly began to rise from the battery of the cell phone being repaired by the business owner, Ersan Sert. Shortly after, the battery exploded with a loud noise.
Seeing the phone catch fire, Sert quickly threw the device outside the shop. The panic experienced in those moments was recorded by the shop's security camera.

Describing the incident, Ersan Sert stated that the customer said his young child had crushed the phone with their teeth. Sert noted that the deformed battery exploded when it came into contact with air, saying, “Our customer said their little child crushed the phone with their teeth. When the deformed battery came into contact with air, it turned into a fireball. We got through it with just a minor burn.”
