It has been revealed that during Alinur Aktaş's term, the invoice for the iftar dinner that was canceled due to election bans on March 18, 2024, was issued to the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and that the payment was made from the municipality's treasury.
A controversial invoice has come to the fore at the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. İYİ Party Bursa Deputy Selçuk Türkoğlu claimed that the cost of the iftar dinner, which was canceled due to election bans on March 18, 2024, during the term of Alinur Aktaş, was paid by the municipality.
A PAYMENT OF 973 THOUSAND LIRA HAS BEEN MADE In a statement he made at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Türkoğlu noted that the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality wanted to hold an iftar dinner for the Osmangazi District Organization 13 days before the local elections, but the organization was canceled following an objection made to the Election Board. However, despite the cancellation decision, Türkoğlu argued that the municipality received an invoice of 973 thousand lira under the name "Food and catering fee" and that the payment was made from the municipality's treasury, stating that an investigation should be initiated regarding the matter.
İYİ Party Bursa Deputy Selçuk Türkoğlu "SUCH A SCANDAL HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN" Türkoğlu, who said, "This is an imaginary iftar, such a scandal has never been seen," stated, "There is a complete scandal at the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. An invoice of 973 thousand lira dated March 18, 2024, is being received. This invoice is the cost of the iftar dinner held with AKP organizations in the Osmangazi district during the term of Alinur Aktaş as mayor. However, the iftar does not take place because an objection was made to the Election Board. Nevertheless, there is an imaginary invoice for the iftar amounting to 973 thousand lira. This money goes to known places to cover the election expenses of the organizations. Can there be an imaginary iftar, for God's sake?"
