During the first four days of the Ramadan Bayram holiday, 34 people lost their lives in traffic accidents, and 4,784 people were injured.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the toll of traffic accidents that occurred during the first 4 days of the Ramadan Bayram holiday, which started on Saturday.

Minister Yerlikaya stated, "On the 4th day of the Ramadan Bayram holiday (Tuesday), 647 traffic accidents occurred. Unfortunately, 7 of our citizens lost their lives, and 1,165 citizens were injured."

Yerlikaya said, "Unfortunately, 34 of our citizens lost their lives during the first 4 days of the holiday (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday), and 4,784 citizens were injured."

In his statement, Minister Yerlikaya included the following remarks: "During the 9-day Ramadan Bayram holiday, our police and gendarmerie traffic teams continue their inspections. On the 4th day of the holiday, April 1, 2025, our traffic teams inspected 495,753 vehicles. Speed and radar operations were conducted on 21,178 vehicles, and other operations were carried out on 51,120 vehicles."
