Richard Samarel, a 54-year-old former executive of Bloomberg, one of America's most prestigious financial institutions, was found dead along with his 45-year-old wife Lina Maria Samarel and their 9-year-old daughter Samantha Samarel in their luxury mansion located in the state of Carolina, USA. The police have not yet made any statements regarding the deaths that have shocked the entire town.
POLICE DISCOVERED THE BODIES
According to a report by the New York Post, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office stated that police in the town of Greer, located northeast of Greenville in western South Carolina, were alerted by a neighbor's tip. When the teams arrived at the address, they encountered the lifeless bodies of the Samarel family. So far, police officials have not shared any information regarding whether the deaths were a murder or a tragic accident.
"NO THREAT TO THE PUBLIC"
In a statement from the sheriff's office, it was noted, "There is currently no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing." It was also confirmed that there were other children in the house at the time of the incident who were at school. Based on social media posts, it is believed that these children are the couple's other daughter and their young son.
WHO IS THE SAMAREL FAMILY?
It is claimed that Richard Samarel and his wife Lina Maria Samarel have been married since 2009 according to their Facebook profiles. According to their profiles, Richard Samarel worked as a stock manager at Bloomberg LP before leaving the company in 2007, and his wife Lina is a Colombian immigrant who worked at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
