The lifeless body of İbrahim Kaya (74), who went missing after leaving his home in Elazığ on February 7, was found months later in Keban Dam Lake. The investigation into the incident continues.
The lifeless body of İbrahim Kaya (74), who went missing in Elazığ on February 7, was found in Keban Dam Lake. İbrahim Kaya left his home in the Esentepe neighborhood on February 7 and did not return. Following a report from his relatives, a search operation was launched in the area by AFAD, UMKE, gendarmerie, and police teams. Despite weeks of efforts, no trace of Kaya could be found.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEATH
Months later, following a report of a person seen motionless in the water at Keban Dam Lake near the Aydıncık village area in the central district, AFAD, health, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. The lifeless body retrieved from the water was identified as that of İbrahim Kaya, who had been reported missing. After an on-site examination, Kaya's body was taken to the morgue of Fırat University Hospital to determine the exact cause of death.
