The driver Tunay D., who was caught with a blood alcohol level of 1.25 per mille in Aksaray, did not care about the confiscation of his driver's license or the fine of 11,629 lira. Taking the fine receipt in his hand, he continued to drink at the wheel, saying to the cameras recording him, "I swear I drank like a champ, I will drink even better from now on."

The incident in Aksaray's traffic even surprised the police. 27-year-old Tunay D. was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Despite having his driver's license revoked and being fined over 11,000 lira, the young driver continued to drink alcohol at the vehicle with his fine receipt in hand. Challenging the cameras that recorded him, Tunay D. said, "I drank 10 out of 10, I will drink again," and when getting into the police car, he said, "Long live our state," as he was taken to the police station with the officers.

HE LEFT THE LIQUOR STORE AND SAT BEHIND THE WHEEL

Civil police teams patrolling in Aratol İstiklal Neighborhood stopped Tunay D. (27) after he left a liquor store and got into his vehicle with the license plate 42 AAD 014 on suspicion. During the breathalyzer test conducted by the traffic teams, it was determined that the young driver had a blood alcohol level of 1.25 promille, which is more than double the legal limit. However, everything started after this determination.

"I DRANK 10 OUT OF 10, I WILL DRINK AGAIN!"

While the traffic police were carrying out the penalty procedures, Tunay D., who was struggling to stand, chose to boast about his alcohol instead of feeling remorse. The driver, who said to the officers, "I drank good alcohol, I swear I drank 10 out of 10. I drink every day, and I will drink even better from now on," even surprised the officials.

RESPONSE TO THE 11,000 LIRA FINE: "MAY IT BE HALAL"

Upon learning the amount of the fine, which was 11,629 lira, the intoxicated driver said, "May God bless you, it doesn't matter at all. Long live our state, may it be halal," as he received the receipt. While waiting for the public order teams to arrive at the scene, the driver, against whom legal action was initiated, did not waste this time and continued to drink alcohol at the vehicle.

Expressing his feelings to the press members who recorded him, Tunay D. stated that he had driven under the influence of alcohol in different cities for years but was caught for the first time, saying: "I drank in Ankara for 8 years, in Istanbul for 5 years, but I was never caught. I got my license revoked for the first time in Aksaray. We thought we would have a little fun, but it didn't work out, long live their health. Will I come to this liquor store again?"

The public order teams that arrived at the scene placed the driver, who continued his unruly behavior, in the cage section of the police car and took him for a health check.

After his checks at the hospital, Tunay D. was referred to the police station to give a statement for the offense of "endangering traffic safety by driving under the influence of alcohol." His vehicle was handed over to a relative who was called to the scene.
