13 PEOPLE DIED, 34 PEOPLE INJURED
According to information from safety officials, the bus veered off the road near Budgaun village in the Baitadi district, approximately 500 kilometers west of the capital Kathmandu. Thirteen people on the bus lost their lives after it fell about 200 meters into the ravine, and 34 others were injured.
THEY WERE RETURNING FROM A WEDDING
After the accident, the injured were taken to nearby hospitals, and the bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the wrecked vehicle. It was learned that the passengers on the bus were returning from a wedding.
