The Chief Physician of Hafsa Sultan Hospital at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Prof. Dr. İsmet Topçu, announced that the cause of death of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek was sudden cardiac arrest.

On the evening of June 6, Friday, Ferdi Zeyrek, the 48-year-old Mayor of Manisa, who suffered a cardiac arrest due to electric shock, passed away today at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital, where he was receiving treatment.

Prof. Dr. İsmet Topçu, the Chief Physician of Hafsa Sultan Hospital, explained the cause of Zeyrek's death in a statement to reporters in the hospital's chief physician meeting room.

Topçu stated, "As of 17:05 today, despite all interventions, our esteemed Mayor passed away due to cardiac arrest (sudden heart failure). We have lost him. I wish him mercy from God, and I extend my condolences and patience to his family and loved ones."
