"WE HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS"
Erdal Kavun stated that they have been raising the largest sacrificial animals in the market for three consecutive years, emphasizing that the breeding process is quite laborious. Kavun, who said, "We buy them as calves, we work hard for two and a half years, we take care of them," added that the Simmental breed is specially raised for breeding and that they bring these animals to the market every year, where they sell quickly.
BOUGHT BY THE SAME PERSON FOR 12 YEARS
Kavun noted that this large bull has been purchased by the same person for about 12 years, stating, "We come here for both trade and to be beneficial to our people."
20,000 TL ADDED PER ANIMAL
Erdal Kavun also explained that raising sacrificial animals is a challenging process, stating that blood tests are conducted on the animals 4 months before they come to the market and that the barns are quarantined. He also mentioned that expenses such as transportation, tent, and feed costs lead to an increase of approximately 20,000 TL in the price of the animals.
