An alarming incident occurred in Kocaeli. According to the allegation, in 2023, an 11-year-old named B.Ö met a 30-year-old named E.Ö in the game PUBG. B.Ö, who was playing games on the computer, later met E.Ö in Gölcük.

SEXUAL ABUSE IN THE MOSQUE TOILET

E.Ö sexually abused the child in the mosque toilet. The man threatened the child to keep it a secret and also asked B.Ö for naked photos and videos. Fearing the threats, the child complied with the man's demands.

ARRESTED

After a while, the family, suspicious of their child's behavior, went to the police station after the child explained the situation and filed a complaint against the suspect. The suspect, who was taken into custody, was released after giving his statement. During this time, the suspect met another child from the same game. Following the complaint from the family of the child he abused in the same manner, E.Ö was arrested and sent to prison.

The trial regarding the incident continued at the Kocaeli 3rd High Criminal Court. The defendant participated in the hearing via SEGBİS from the prison where he was held. The defendant, who did not accept the charges, claimed that the incident did not happen, that he met the victim through PUBG, and that they ate döner together. The court decided to continue the defendant's detention and postponed the hearing.

REQUESTED NAKED IMAGES FROM THE CHILD AND THREATENED HIM

B.Ö stated in previous hearings that they met the defendant in the game, that he threatened him, that he asked for naked photos and videos, and that he sent them out of fear, and that he was abused in the mosque toilet.
