The beauty salon owner, Selda Eller, lost her life at the hands of her husband, from whom she was in the process of getting a restraining order during their divorce. The murderous husband went to the police station after strangling Selda, confessed to killing her, and turned himself in.
Once again, a woman was murdered by her husband during the divorce process. This time, the tragic news came from Manisa. Selda Eller was strangled to death by her husband Gökhan Eller, with whom she was in the process of getting a divorce. While Selda Eller’s body was taken to the hospital morgue, Gökhan Eller went to the police station, confessed to killing his wife, and surrendered.
HE HAD OBTAINED A RESTRAINING ORDER
The incident occurred around 6:30 PM in an apartment on the ground floor of a site in the Güzelyurt neighborhood. Gökhan Eller, who was reported to have started working at Yunusemre Municipality about a month ago, and Selda Eller, who operated a beauty salon, had decided to divorce amicably due to family issues some time ago. While waiting for a court date, it is alleged that Selda Eller called her husband Gökhan Eller and told him to come home today to collect his belongings. When Gökhan Eller arrived home, a dispute broke out when he learned that his wife had obtained a one-month restraining order against him.
HE STRANGLED HER WITH HIS HANDS AND SURRENDERED TO THE POLICE
As the argument escalated into a fight, Gökhan Eller strangled his wife Selda Eller with his hands. He then went to the police station, confessed to killing his wife, and surrendered.

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The health teams that arrived at the scene determined that Selda Eller had lost her life. After the prosecutor's examination, Selda Eller’s lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution of Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital for an autopsy. In his statement at the police station, Gökhan Eller said he became angry because Selda Eller had insulted him severely and that he strangled his wife during the ensuing fight. It was learned that Gökhan Eller’s procedures at the police station were ongoing, and the couple, who had been married for 20 years, had two children, one male and one female.
