The CHP Group unanimously decided to pay the compensation issued for the payments of the lieutenants who were expelled from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) for chanting the slogan "We are soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" during the graduation ceremony of the Military Academy. It was previously stated that the receivables of the lieutenants arising from education and training expenses would be collected with interest.

After the official graduation ceremony of the Military Academy on August 30, 2024, where the lieutenants shouted the slogan "We are soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" while crossing swords, a disciplinary investigation was initiated, resulting in the expulsion of 5 lieutenants from the Turkish Armed Forces.

It was announced that the receivables arising from the education and training expenses of the lieutenants expelled from the TSK would be collected with interest, and this development prompted the CHP to take action.
