"THE POSSIBILITY OF PEACE HAS DECREASED SIGNIFICANTLY"
No results have been achieved so far from the negotiations aimed at ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. While U.S. President Trump held consecutive meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Zelensky, tensions between the two countries once again reached a peak.
ZELENSKY'S CHALLENGE TO PUTIN
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky participated in the flag-raising ceremony held at the Historical National Museum in the capital Kyiv on August 23, Ukraine Flag Day. In his speech at the ceremony, Zelensky issued a challenge to Putin. The Ukrainian leader stated that the Ukrainian flag has become a symbol of love for Ukraine, expressing that the flag can be seen in the streets of any city, on buildings, flagpoles, behind car windows, or on someone's backpack.
"WE WILL NOT SURRENDER OUR LANDS TO THE OCCUPIERS"
Zelensky stated, "This flag represents a sense of liberation for the people we have brought back from Russian captivity. When they see the colors of Ukraine, they understand that the evil is over. This flag is the goal and dream of many of our people in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. They protect this flag, keep it safe because they know: We will not surrender our lands to the occupier. This flag represents the most valuable things of our hundreds of thousands of fighters from all over Ukraine, who risk their lives not just for a specific direction, not just for Vovchansk or Dobropillia, but for all of Ukraine, and for the right to live for our entire country," he said.
