Bishara Bahbah, a Palestinian-American businessman, claimed that the U.S. has proposed a ceasefire aimed at ending the war in Gaza and releasing all prisoners, and that Hamas has accepted this proposal.

American businessman Bishara Bahbah claimed that the U.S. has proposed a final ceasefire that "envisions ending the war in Gaza and releasing all prisoners," and that Hamas officials have accepted it.

As Israel accelerates its steps to occupy Gaza, a striking claim regarding the ceasefire has emerged. The claim's owner is Bishara Bahbah, a Palestinian-American businessman who has been mediating indirect negotiations for a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas.

Speaking to Saudi Arabia-based Al Arabiya television, Bahbah stated that a meeting was held in Washington on September 3, where it was decided to present a final proposal that "foresees the release of all prisoners and the end of the war."

"HAMAS 'ACCEPTED' THE CEASEFIRE OFFER"

Bahbah noted that the U.S. has communicated with Hamas officials regarding the "comprehensive" ceasefire proposal, and the officials were initially unsure whether this decision was official. However, after seeing the post on U.S. President Donald Trump's social media account, they were convinced it was official and immediately approved the agreement.

"TRUMP IS TRYING TO PRESSURE NETANYAHU"

Bahbah expressed that Trump is trying to exert intense pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept such an agreement and end the war.

Bahbah claimed that if both sides are serious about negotiations, "the war could end within two weeks and there are more positive signals than ever regarding reaching an agreement."

WHAT HAPPENED?

On September 3, U.S. President Donald Trump stated in a post on his U.S.-based social media platform Truth Social, "Tell Hamas to release all 20 of the prisoners they have, not 2, 5, or 7, and then things will change quickly, this will end."

Hamas also announced on September 3 that it is ready for a comprehensive ceasefire agreement that includes "the release of all Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip in exchange for a specific number of Palestinian prisoners, the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, the cessation of all attacks, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region."

Additionally, Hamas stated that it is prepared to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian technocratic committee that will be established.

In a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office regarding Hamas's acceptance of the proposal, it was evaluated that "this is merely propaganda."

The statement indicated that attacks on Gaza could end under the conditions set by the Israeli security cabinet (disarmament of Hamas, demilitarization of Gaza, release of prisoners, transfer of Gaza's security to Israeli control, and establishment of a civilian administration in Gaza that is not affiliated with Hamas or the Palestinian Authority).
