The clearest security camera footage of the moments when IBB Culture Inc. Deputy General Manager Erhan Karaal, who was found this morning in Tuzla with his hands and arms tied, was kidnapped has emerged.
New developments have occurred in the investigation regarding the abduction of Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture Inc., in Maltepe. As a result of police operations, Karaal was found in Tuzla, and it was learned that his health condition is good, while the number of detentions related to the incident has risen to 8.
The incident occurred on Wednesday around 21:00 on Sidar Street, Feyzullah Neighborhood, Maltepe district. According to allegations, Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture Inc., was forcibly placed into a vehicle by unidentified individuals in front of his home and abducted. Upon the report of his wife Ayşe Toprak Karaal, who witnessed the incident, police teams launched an investigation and nearby security cameras were examined.
FOUND IN TUZLA
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department Public Order Branch, as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, determined that Karaal was found in Tuzla. It was learned that Erhan Karaal, located by police teams at a construction site, is in good health.
NUMBER OF DETENTIONS RISES TO 8
In addition to the suspects previously detained in the investigation, with the capture of one more person, the number of detentions has risen to 8. It was reported that the proceedings for those connected to the incident at the police station are ongoing.
MOMENT OF ABDUCTION ON CAMERA
Meanwhile, new security camera footage of the moments of Erhan Karaal's abduction has emerged. The footage shows Karaal walking on the sidewalk while talking on the phone, being intercepted by unidentified individuals. It then captures three people taking Karaal by the arms, forcing him into a vehicle pulling up to the street, and the vehicle driving away from the scene.
