The treasury aid to political parties has been clarified according to the 2026 budget. The aid given to parties that surpassed the threshold in the last general election is determined based on their vote percentages. In this context, a total of billions of liras will be provided to 5 parties. The highest amount will be received by the AK Party, which has the most representatives.
The amount of Treasury aid to be provided to political parties according to the 2026 budget approved by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has also been determined. Five parties that passed the electoral threshold in the last general elections and gained the right to representation in parliament will receive billions of lira in funding based on their vote shares. The highest amount of Treasury aid will be received by the AK Party, which has a majority of seats in the Assembly. A total of 5.6 billion lira will be provided to the parties.
IF THERE IS AN ELECTION, IT WILL INCREASE EVEN MORE
The Treasury aid provided to political parties in Turkey is determined based on the vote shares they received in the most recent general elections. According to the law, parties that pass the electoral threshold receive Treasury aid from the central government budget every year; this amount is lower in non-election years, while in election years, it is paid at certain increments.
2026 AID AMOUNTS
The Treasury aid to be provided to political parties for the year 2026 is as follows:
AK Party: 2.5 billion TL
CHP: 1.5 billion TL
MHP: 600 million TL
İYİ Party: 550 million TL
DEM Party: 500 million TL
These figures are based on the shares calculated according to the vote percentages the parties received in the 2023 general elections. Additionally, it is anticipated that if an early election decision is made in 2026, these aids could increase up to 2 times.
