In the investigation regarding the allegations of irregularities at the CHP congress, former Hatay Metropolitan Mayor Lütfü Savaş, who provided a statement, also filed a criminal complaint against Ekrem İmamoğlu. Savaş claimed that during the first round of voting at the congress, İmamoğlu undermined the will of the delegates by stating that Kılıçdaroğlu had withdrawn, and he requested a re-examination of the election results.

Former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş filed a criminal complaint against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
LÜTFÜ SAVAŞ GAVE A STATEMENT AND FILED A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT
The investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegations of "vote buying for money on the day of the congress" during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023, is deepening with witness statements. The former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor gave a statement as a witness and also filed a criminal complaint against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and some CHP officials through his lawyer. Savaş's lawyer made a statement after the complaint.
Savaş, in the complaint he submitted through his lawyer Onur Yusuf Üregen, reminded that his client filed a lawsuit at the Ankara 31st Civil Court of First Instance for the immediate removal of the current CHP Central Executive Board, Party Council, and High Disciplinary Board with a precautionary measure decision and for the annulment of the congress. Following this, it was stated in the petition that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel referred to Savaş as a "pawn" in his statements to the press, and it was noted that "Özgür Özel compared my client to a pawn due to the annulment lawsuit he filed and stated that my client was being directed by someone. Özel has clearly insulted my client's honor, dignity, and reputation with the words he used." The petition requested an investigation against Özel for the crime of "insult".
"İMAMOĞLU DISRUPTED THE WILL OF THE DELEGATES"
In another petition submitted by lawyer Üregen to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that the will of the delegates was disrupted when Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was the chair of the congress during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress on November 4-5, 2023, stated that Kılıçdaroğlu had withdrawn during his speech after the first round of voting.
The petition stated, "During the time between the two meetings at the congress and as soon as the second meeting started, many people were given false information that Kılıçdaroğlu had withdrawn from candidacy, thus the wills of the delegates were directed, and the fair conduct of the election process was hindered. It is clearly seen that the chair of the congress intervened unlawfully and violated the free will of the delegates."
"PUBLIC RESOURCES WERE USED FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES"
In the petition, which alleged that public officials were used in a bribery-like manner during the congress process and that public resources were distributed for political purposes, it was requested that legal and criminal proceedings be initiated against the relevant individuals, that the election results of the congress be examined due to the disruption of the delegates' wills, and that an expert examination be conducted regarding the illegality of the election process. The petition requested an investigation against İmamoğlu for the crimes of "forgery in official documents," "abuse of office," and "publicly disseminating misleading information."
