The Constitutional Court ruled that the investigation into the suspicious death of 11-year-old Rabia Naz Vatan in Eynesil, Giresun in 2018 was conducted "carelessly and not with the depth and seriousness it required," thereby violating the procedural aspect of the right to life. The Supreme Court ordered that 350,000 Turkish lira be paid to Vatan's parents as moral compensation.
