As part of the "Betting Investigation in Football" conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention review was held for Galatasaray player Metehan Baltacı and Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş, who were arrested. It was decided to continue the detention of both players.
The examination of the detention of Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş and Galatasaray player Metehan Baltacı, who were arrested on December 9, 2025, within the scope of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's "Betting Investigation in Football" case, has been completed.
THE COURT DECIDED "CONTINUATION OF DETENTION"
As a result of the examination conducted by the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace, no release decision was made for either football player. The court ruled for the "continuation of the detention" of both Mert Hakan Yandaş and Metehan Baltacı, considering the current evidence situation and the seriousness of the allegations.
