The lottery process for the Housing Project of the Century, which millions of citizens have been eagerly awaiting, will start tomorrow in Adıyaman and will continue until February 27. Applications for the 500,000 social housing project have reached 8.8 million, with 5.3 million valid applications announced. Deliveries are planned to begin in March 2027.

The applications for the 500,000 social housing project, which will be implemented in 81 provinces under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, have been completed. The lottery process to determine the rights holders in the largest social housing project in the history of the Republic will start tomorrow (December 29). The lottery is planned to continue until February 27.

THE FIRST LOTTERY STARTS IN THE EARTHQUAKE REGION

Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that the first lottery will be drawn for the houses in Adıyaman. Kurum emphasized that additional quotas have been allocated for the earthquake region, stating that they aim for low-income citizens with heavily damaged houses or those without homes to also become homeowners within this project.

APPLICATION NUMBER 8.8 MILLION: VALID APPLICATIONS 5.3 MILLION

According to the information shared by Minister Kurum, a total of 8 million 800 thousand applications were made for the project. It was stated that the number of valid applications is approximately 5 million 300 thousand. The provinces with the most applications were Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, respectively.

THE MOST HOUSING IN ISTANBUL

It was reported that 100,000 houses will be built in Istanbul, over 30,000 in Ankara, and 18,000 in Izmir. The first five cities where the most houses will be built are recorded as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, and Konya. It is planned that one-fifth of the total houses will be built in Istanbul.

240 MONTHS MATURITY IN THE "HOMEOWNER TURKEY" CAMPAIGN

Within the campaign conducted under the slogan "Homeowner Turkey," the houses will be offered for sale with a 10% down payment and maturity options of up to 240 months. It was stated that the houses will be designed as 1+1 and 2+1 in accordance with the horizontal architectural understanding and traditional texture.

HOUSING TYPES AND NUMBERS ANNOUNCED

In the project, a total of 500,000 houses will consist of:

  • 40% (200,000) 2+1 houses of 80 square meters,
  • 30% (150,000) 2+1 houses of 65 square meters,
  • The remaining 150,000 will consist of 1+1 houses of 55 square meters.

QUOTAS DISTRIBUTED

Special quotas have been allocated in the project for the relatives of martyrs and veterans, the disabled, retirees, youth, and families with three or more children. Accordingly, the distribution of rights holders will be as follows:

  • 5% for martyr families and veterans
  • 5% for the disabled
  • 20% for retirees
  • 10% for families with three or more children
  • 20% for youth aged 18-30
  • 40% for other buyers

PRICES AND INSTALLMENTS DIFFERENT IN ISTANBUL AND ANATOLIA

Housing prices and installment amounts have been determined separately for Istanbul and Anatolian provinces. In Anatolia:

  • 1+1 houses 1 million 800 thousand TL (installment 6 thousand 750 TL)
  • 65 m² 2+1 houses 2 million 200 thousand TL (installment 8 thousand 250 TL)
  • 80 m² 2+1 houses 2 million 650 thousand TL (installment 9 thousand 938 TL)

In Istanbul:

  • 1+1 houses 1 million 950 thousand TL (installment 7 thousand 313 TL)
  • 65 m² 2+1 houses 2 million 450 thousand TL (installment 9 thousand 188 TL)
  • 80 m² 2+1 houses 2 million 950 thousand TL (installment 11 thousand 63 TL)

DELIVERIES IN MARCH 2027

It is planned that the delivery of houses within the project will start in March 2027. Minister Kurum stated that although a target of 2027 was set for the delivery schedule, there are also houses that will be delivered within 2026.
