In an operation conducted on the allegation that members of the terrorist organization PKK/KCK were placed in municipalities under its control, it was revealed that one of the 10 suspects detained, Elif Gül, a council member of Sancaktepe Municipality, has a daughter who is a terrorist. Elif Gül and her husband, Fethi Ahmet Gül, visited their daughter Dilan Gül in the rural area of the PKK and took "memorial" photos.

THEY TOOK "MEMORY" PHOTOS WITH THEIR DAUGHTERS
In the examination of digital materials found at the home of Gül, a member of the Sancaktepe Municipal Council, it was determined that her daughter Dilan Gül had joined the terrorist organization PKK. The investigations revealed "memory" photos of Dilan Gül being visited in the rural area of the PKK by her husband Fethi Ahmet Gül and her daughter Elif Gül. It was understood that Dilan Gül is still wanted for the crime of being a "member of a terrorist organization."
UNCLE GAVE THE ORDERS FOR ATTACKS
It was determined that İshak Özçaktu, the cousin of Elif Gül, a member of the Sancaktepe Municipality Council, gave the orders for the terrorist attacks carried out by the PKK terrorist organization in Istanbul, Kayseri, and Ankara, and that he was neutralized in a cross-border operation in 2019. It was also found that his aunt's daughter, Halime Özadikti, was active in the PKK's Syrian structure.
PRESIDENT YEĞİN SUPPORTED GÜL
After Elif Gül was detained, Sancaktepe Mayor Alper Yeğin shared photos of himself alongside Gül, stating, "We do not accept the political operations directed at our municipalities and municipal council members. The will of the people has never been lost."
OPERATION
Those detained by the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch include Kartal Deputy Mayor Cemalettin Yüksel, Ataşehir Deputy Mayor Livan Gür, Üsküdar Municipal Council Member B.K, Sancaktepe Municipal Council Member Elif Gül, Fatih Municipal Council Member G.A, Tuzla Municipal Council Member H.Ö, Adalar Municipal Council Member N.A, Şişli Municipal Council Member S.G, Beyoğlu Municipal Council Member T.Ş, and İ.P, who was found to be in contact with Beyoğlu Municipality. After their procedures at the police station, they were taken to Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital for a health check and then referred to the Istanbul Courthouse.
As a result of HTS examinations, it was learned that Kartal Deputy Mayor Cemalettin Yüksel had contact with 313 suspects, while Ataşehir Deputy Mayor Livan Gür had contact with 52 suspects. Among the suspects Yüksel and Gür were in contact with, it was determined that 8 were wanted for being members of a terrorist organization, and 8 were already in prison for the same crime. It was recorded that all suspects had previously been active in the DEM Party.
