As the monsoon rains that are increasing their impact in Pakistan have led to a flood disaster, the death toll has risen to around 40, while 15 people trapped in a minibus swept away by floodwaters in Balochistan have been rescued. Transportation has been disrupted in many parts of the country, and officials have warned that the rains will continue.

Severe monsoon rains in Pakistan have led to disaster. While approximately 40 people have lost their lives across the country, 15 people trapped in a minibus swept away by floodwaters in Balochistan have been rescued.

CASUALTY NUMBERS RISE

Intense rainfall and flooding across Pakistan have caused significant destruction. Authorities have reported that the death toll nationwide has reached approximately 40.

It has been reported that at least 22 people have lost their lives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province since March 25. It was stated that severe storms and downpours have led to roof collapses and serious damage.

MINIBUS SWEPT AWAY IN BALOCHISTAN

A minibus carrying 15 people was swept away by floodwaters in the Gulistan area of Balochistan province, which has experienced the heaviest damage.

Authorities stated that those trapped in the vehicle were rescued with the help of heavy machinery. It was also noted that a truck loaded with food was swept away by the current in the same area.

SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE

Search and rescue teams are intensively continuing their work in the Qilla Abdullah and Gulistan areas. Teams have been dispatched to reach those who are considered missing. However, difficult weather conditions are complicating the efforts.

TRANSPORTATION DISRUPTED

Transportation in the region has also been severely disrupted due to the flooding disaster. Many vehicles have been stranded in floodwaters, and a large portion of the roads has become unusable.

As the water level in the river passing through Qilla Abdullah rose, the Ketta-Chaman highway was closed to traffic. Transportation has also been halted on the Toba Achakzai, Khanozai, and Gulistan connecting roads.

RAINS WILL CONTINUE

Meteorology experts have warned that severe rainfall will continue in the region between April 2-4. Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious against the risk of flooding.
