A discussion on "The Nas Economy" took place among journalists during a live broadcast. Tension rose between Journalist and Writer Şükrü Küçükşahin and the General Editor of Millet News Agency, Sinan Burhan, on the program titled "Turkey's Pulse" aired on Habertürk.
"INFLATION IS STILL BEYOND ESTIMATES"
Küçükşahin stated, "'There is a government that has made an unjust wealth transfer with the 'Nas' fallacy, taking from the poor and giving to the rich. Therefore, it cannot correct this process. Inflation is still high, beyond estimates. This country is the world champion in inflation," he expressed.
"THIS MEANS INTEREST IS OPPRESSION"
Burhan, who reacted to Küçükşahin, said, "Our esteemed President made an important statement regarding the term 'Nas.' The words spoken by our esteemed President with the term 'Nas' may be one of the most accurate sentences he has ever said. What he actually means is this; he is against interest, interest is labor exploitation, it is the exploitation of hard work. It is oppression, it is the usurpation of rights, it is the halt of production and employment. On the contrary, interest rates should decrease, and there should be a transition from an interest-based economy to a production-based economy. This cannot be dismissed by saying 'the Nas economy.' This means interest is oppression. We are against interest." he stated.
