The Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, pointed to November 25 regarding the investigation initiated after the sword oath of the lieutenants at the graduation ceremony.

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler made a new statement regarding the lieutenants who were subjected to an investigation following the oaths at the Army War College graduation. Güler pointed to November 25, stating, "We will make the decision in the High Disciplinary Board."

"THE DISCIPLINARY PROCESS CONTINUES"

Speaking on a TV channel, Güler said, "As a society, we need to patiently wait until November 25. However, our understanding of discipline is always a priority in our perspective on such incidents as the Turkish Armed Forces. The disciplinary process is currently ongoing. We will make the decision in the High Disciplinary Board." he stated.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The footage recorded after the oath ceremony held at the Army War College on August 30 had sparked controversy. After the oath ceremony, a group of newly graduated lieutenants gathered in the area, drew their swords, and shouted, "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal."
