While the Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek continues to emphasize savings in the public sector, it has been reported that the proposal for covering the expenses of the Spain program, which will be attended by 44 people and managed by AK Party member Mustafa Candaroğlu, has been accepted by a majority vote in the council.
"FOREIGN TECHNICAL REVIEW AND CONTACT PROGRAM" PROPOSAL SUBMITTED TO THE COUNCIL
In the December session of the Arnavutköy Municipal Council, a proposal titled "Foreign Technical Review and Contact Program" was submitted with the approval of Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu. The proposal noted that technical reviews and contacts would take place in Marbella, Spain, between January 28 and February 1, 2026, as part of the program organized at the invitation of Eurokey Community.
EXPENSES FROM THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET
According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün; the proposal text requested that the expenses of the assigned individuals be covered by the municipal budget in accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 6245 on Travel Allowances.
LIST OF PARTICIPANTS: MAYOR, DEPUTIES, AND COUNCIL MEMBERS
The proposal stated that in addition to Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu, the Deputy Mayors Fatih Bozdemir, Ahmet Altay, Lütfü Kırmızı, and Davut Paralı, the Chief of Staff Muhammet Beg, the Head of the Chief of Staff Mircan Özen, and council members from the AK Party, CHP, and MHP would participate in the four-night foreign trip.
ACCEPTED BY MAJORITY VOTE
It was reported that the proposal, which received a few dissenting votes from council members, was accepted by a majority vote in the Municipal Council. With the acceptance decision, it was stated that the expenses of the Spain program, which will be attended by a total of 44 people on behalf of the Arnavutköy Municipality, would be covered by the municipal budget.
