One of the names that came up for the new head coach after Fenerbahçe parted ways with Jose Mourinho was Luciano Spalletti. The Italian coach's response to Fenerbahçe has emerged.
HE REJECTED FENERBAHÇE
According to a report by TRT Spor, Luciano Spalletti communicated to Fenerbahçe that he wanted to spend time with his family and did not wish to coach a team. The 66-year-old coach also added that the issue was not only related to Fenerbahçe, but that he needed to rest.
Most recently, Spalletti, who served as the head coach of the Italian National Team, has not coached a team since leaving his position in June. Following this response from Spalletti, Fenerbahçe will accelerate talks with other coaches on their list.
