The dialogue between Iranian religious leader Ali Khamenei and a child has come to mind again following the attack by the US and Israel that resulted in casualties. The Iranian State Television announced that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has died in the Israel-US attack. During the broadcast, while the Quran was being recited on the screen, an announcement was made regarding Khamenei's death. The Cabinet announced that after Khamenei's passing, a 40-day national mourning and a 7-day public holiday were declared across the country.

"PRAY THAT I BECOME A MARTYR"

The dialogue Khamenei had with a child at an event he attended in the past has resurfaced. Khamenei was seen telling the child, who said, "Pray that I become a martyr," that he first needed to grow up and go to school.

"FIRST GROW UP, YOU'LL BECOME A MARTYR AT 90"

Khamenei's remarks were noteworthy: "You first grow up. God willing, you will grow taller. Study your lessons. Be a scholar and be someone useful for Islam. Live for 80-90 years, and then you can become a martyr."
