EMPHASIS ON "360 DEGREE APPROACH"

In a written statement by Colonel Martin L. O'Donnell, Spokesperson for Allied European Command (SHAPE), it was noted that the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) is in regular and active contact with military leaders on both sides of the Atlantic and the NATO Secretary General.

The statement expressed that SACEUR continues to work on NATO's strong force posture to ensure the security of the Alliance's 32 members and to strengthen defense against potential threats such as ballistic missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles, indicating that these threats could originate from Iran or other regions. It emphasized that NATO's "360 degree approach" encompasses all operational domains, including land, air, sea, cyber, and space.

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While negotiations continue between the governments of Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed. The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 201 people lost their lives and 747 were injured in the bombings targeting the country.
