STRUCK DEPUTY GOVERNOR WALKING ON SIDEWALK
The incident occurred in the evening hours at Şadırvan Mosque Street in the Kırtepe neighborhood. The motorcyclist, noticing police at the checkpoint, attempted to flee on his vehicle. A police team chased after the fleeing motorcyclist. During the pursuit, the motorcycle driven by A.C., who had mounted the sidewalk, struck Deputy Governor Muhittin Gürel, who was walking there. Gürel was taken to the hospital by medical teams, treated, and discharged.

It was learned that Deputy Governor Muhittin Gürel did not press charges against the motorcyclist A.C.
