A driver who fled from a police checkpoint in Iğdır hit a municipal worker on a motorcycle, causing injuries. It was revealed that the driver, who was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.9 promille and was fined 640,000 TL, is Şiyar Güneş, the son of Iğdır Mayor Mehmet Nuri Şimşek.
According to reports, late at night on Zübeyde Hanım Boulevard in Iğdır, Iğdır Police Department teams saw a driver trying to escape in his vehicle while conducting a shock application. Official police vehicles began to pursue the car.

It was revealed that Güneş had a blood alcohol level of 2.9 promille and that his license had been revoked 3 times in the past 5 years. Güneş was fined 640 TL.
