The Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, made surprise visits to two schools early in the morning upon arriving in Düzce. Teachers who saw Minister Tekin, who visited Düzce Türkiye Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Primary School and 15 July Martyrs Anatolian High School without the knowledge of the protocol members and party officials in the city, were astonished.
"NO ONE, INCLUDING OUR GOVERNOR, KNEW"
Stating that they visit schools before official visits, Minister Tekin said, "It turned out very well. Our students were happy too. Since we started our ministry, we have been going unofficially outside of our official programs during all our provincial visits. We chatted with our students and teachers. No one, including our governor, knew at all," he said.
"WHEN MY TEACHER SAW ME, HE THOUGHT I WAS A STUDENT'S PARENT"
Continuing his remarks, Minister Tekin said, "Our English teacher, our on-duty teacher, thought I was a student's parent when he first saw me. They realize it later. There are very nice moments. We are all in the same boat. We all strive to elevate the education and teaching of this country, to advance Turkey's position among nations in the world a notch higher. We act with this awareness. I always say this in mutual respect. Together with all our teacher friends, when we do our work with the same feelings, the same thoughts, the same excitement, without falling into arrogance and in a humble manner, we will succeed. We will definitely succeed," he expressed.
