The statement of Dalyan Çopur, who killed his neighbor with 7 bullets and injured his 17-year-old daughter over a parking issue in Adana, has emerged. Çopur said, "He was constantly parking his car in front of my house. They were also talking loudly. When I warned them again, a fight broke out. I shot him with my gun."
Yesterday at around 21:00, a brutal incident occurred in the 19 Mayıs neighborhood of the Yüreğir district in Adana. Hakan Akgün (39) allegedly parked his car in front of his neighbor Dalyan Çopur's (35) house. A fight broke out between Akgün, who warned Çopur to move his car, and Çopur.
Killed Hakan Akgün SHOT AT HIS NEIGHBOR AND FLED During the fight, Çopur pulled out his gun and shot Akgün. Akgün was hit by 7 bullets in the head, abdomen, and chest, and collapsed to the ground. One of the bullets also hit Akgün's daughter, A.A. (17), in the leg. The suspect then fled the scene.
DIED IN THE HOSPITAL Health and police teams were dispatched to the area upon the notification of the surrounding people. After the first intervention, Akgün was taken to Adana City Training and Research Hospital by ambulance, but despite all the doctors' efforts, he could not be saved. His daughter, Azra Akgün, who was taken to Yüreğir State Hospital, was discharged after her treatment.
HIS STATEMENT WAS CHILLING Teams from the Homicide Bureau captured the suspect shortly after the incident in a nearby street. Taken to the police station, Dalyan Çopur stated in his testimony, "He was constantly parking his car in front of my house despite my previous warnings. He parked again. They were also talking loudly. When I warned them again, a fight broke out, and I shot him with my gun." After completing the procedures, Çopur was referred to the courthouse.
